Health & Well-being
We promote outdoor activities, sports, and teach children about health, hygiene, and nutrition. Our vegetarian meals are provided by a local organic catering service.
A bilingual German-French daycare where children from diverse backgrounds grow together, learn through play, and discover the world in two languages - right in the heart of Neukölln.

For many children, our kindergarten is their first experience in a larger group. Here they learn respectful interaction and develop important social skills. We guide them in finding their place in the group, managing emotions, expressing needs, resolving conflicts, and making decisions both collectively and independently.
We support German and French language development through immersion and the "one person, one language" principle. Our educators speak to children in their native language, ensuring each child has reference persons in both languages. Through daily use and interaction, children develop a comprehensive linguistic foundation.
Creative expression is an essential part of exploring and experiencing our environment. We encourage self-expression and sensory exploration through activities like drawing, painting, modeling, crafting, and making music. Regular cultural excursions, such as theater visits, complement our creative offerings.
We discover basic mathematical concepts through play - including orientation in the world, organizing things, and developing a sense of time and space.
We observe nature, ask questions, experiment, and garden. We visit the forest, farms, and tend to our own garden plot at Tempelhofer Feld, where children experience nature firsthand and learn about nutrition and sustainability.
We are a diverse kindergarten and see it as a great enrichment to incorporate the different traditions and cultures of our families into everyday kindergarten life. This intercultural exchange is an important part of our work.
Our Kita thrives as a parent initiative. Active participation in roles like board work, repairs, or events strengthens our community and ensures smooth operation. This collaborative spirit is key to our vibrant, supportive environment.
Kita Horizon is ideally located halfway up Warthestraße in southern Neukölln, between the U-Bahn stations Leinestraße and Hermannstraße. Just a short 5-minute walk away lies the historic Tempelhofer Feld, Berlin's largest urban park, where our children regularly enjoy outdoor activities and tend to our own garden plot.
This is where we arrive every morning. Each child has their own compartment to store their belongings.
This room provides a calm, sheltered environment for relaxed play. Here, the Chenilles take their midday break and can rest.
Our large community room with integrated kitchen. Here we eat, craft, and play together. The room promotes shared experiences and children's creativity.
A small oasis for browsing our Kita library. Here we can read stories together, look at picture books, and immerse ourselves in other worlds.
A room where children can really let off steam. Climbing, sliding, and slipping into different roles in our dress-up corner - the green room offers space for movement and creative development. It is specially designed for the Papillon.
